Nafas Min Dahab Camp

Before the start of the workshop we would be happy to meet all of you! We would love to hear about your journey in freediving over an optional community dinner at one of the best places to eat in Dahab!

To make the most out of our time together and to enjoy the peaceful Dahab mornings, our days will start at 7am. We pick you up from your accommodation and head to the Blue Hole. We will be based at the famous AquaMarina Restaurant where a daily briefing and calming dry session will prepare us for the morning water sessions. 

During the 4 depth sessions of the camp we systematically approach your diving. Zooming in on all elements that make up an enjoyable deep dive; from equipment optimization, warm up routines, technical adjustments up to equalization drills and discipline specific skills, nothing will be left uncovered. 

After the morning sessions, our host Ali Okab will cater to any culinary wishes during an energizing lunch break. 

Back in Dahab, we will spend the afternoons of days 1 to 5 in a beautiful teaching space; debriefing morning sessions, reviewing video analysis and the discussion of essential topics that will further enhance your understanding of diving deep.

We start by diving into equalisation techniques over two sessions; covering all aspects of this fundamental element of smooth diving. From freediving specific anatomy, detailed description of all equalisation maneuvers relevant to your level, up to putting it all into practice with a large variety of dry exercises that will bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and in-water application.

As we expand beyond physical mastery of equalization and technique, we dedicate one theory session to bringing in all the elements of freediving together, giving you the tools to design your dedicated training plan. We understand the concept of periodization and how it applies to freediving; bringing an expansive range of exercises, drills, specific dry and in-water routines and learning how to orchestrate those components into a well structured training plan.

Through the fourth session, we spend an evening reviewing each individual’s dives; focusing on CWTB and FIM. The topic will be refining and enhancing motion in the water; from swimming technique and freefall to dive strategy, planning, timing as well as relaxation through motion. We transfer this shortly in the pool; providing you with specific technical drills that you can include in your future training.

We close our last theory session by freediving mental approach; aligning the body with highly developed mental skills and practices will help you build confidence as well as find automatism in diving which will make space for mental resilience, enjoyment and flow.

This day is dedicated to finetuning and solidifying your physical foundation.
Dry work covering functional strength and mobility in freediving will help build your body awareness and confidence.
A light pool session with technical drills, that you can easily implement in future training, will add an improved feel for the water that will take your deep dives to the next level.

Third camp day will be completely off so you can rest your mind and body and prepare for more fun and knowledge ahead.

Rest and recovery is part of training smart! On this 6th day of the camp we invite you for a relaxing morning Yoga session with one of Dahab's experienced Yoga Instructors who understands freediving specific mobility, flexibility and mental focus paired with deep relaxation.

We bring the workshop to a close under the desert night sky. After our last open water session we invite you to join us for an authentic Bedouin Dinner in the incredible Wadi Gnai Oasis 30 min south of Dahab. A delicious meal, a bonfire lighting up the desert mountains and the peace and quiet of the Wadi will be the perfect setting to reflect on the days spent together and conclude a golden experience of breathing, diving, learning and community. 

We will reach Dahab back by around 9pm.
