Raised on the coasts of the Seychelles, Stefan formed an innate connection with the ocean that eventually led him to the shores of Dahab. In 2006, he transformed this connection into a lifelong pursuit, becoming a full-time instructor in 2011 and a dominant force in competitive freediving for over a decade.

Stefan’s career is defined by elite performance, holding 19 German National Records across all depth disciplines. In 2017, he became the first German freediver to surpass the 100m depth barrier, a milestone that solidified his place among the world’s best. A specialist in the technical art of diving without fins, Stefan secured 3rd place in the 2023 AIDA World Rankings.

Having taught and trained freediving in most of the worlds best locations, Stefan is now based in Dahab enjoying the year round prime diving conditions supplemented by the Sinai's raw natural beauty in and out of the water. His passion is the coaching and personalized guidance of divers from beginner to elite levels with an emphasis on gradual and safe progression that prioritizes quality and enjoyment over rushed achievements.
